Watch along as we read about another “misinformation outlet” exposed.
It’s nice when the private agencies that claim to be independent but are secretly working for intelligence services get outed for all to see. They make it even more difficult for people to trust independent media. @Kit Klarenberg has been outstanding in exposing “independent research agency” Bellingcat for The Grayzone, pieced together by FOIs. There’s a reason these relationships are kept silent.
What do you and I do about this going forward? Automatically assume everything you read, where Bellingcat is the source, is potentially repeating misinformation fed directly by an intel agency to serve an agenda, if you were not doing that already. Not clicking, not reading the stories fed by these clowns diminishes their influence and the press will be less inclined to use them.
While you’re thinking about this, ask yourself why they’re pushing the narrative they are (likely in service of the CIA/DHS/MI6/FBI), and look for the counter to it to find the real story. It’s amazing how they will twist the truth to make it look like the people doing the most harm are actually benevolent. Absolutely insidious. Without shame or remorse.
